If you're looking for a relatable, straightforward therapist who is grounded in reality, we might be a great fit. As a clinician, I’ve worked with clients returning from incarceration, experiencing homelessness, and navigating opiate addiction, and as a result I've gotten very good at helping, supporting, and listening when the going gets tough. I approach therapy from a collaborative, transparent, "hood up" perspective. That means you’ll always know why we’re doing what we're doing. You are the foremost expert on yourself and your world; my role is to work with you, not to tell you who you are.
I’m client-centered at the core of my practice, integrating relational and IFS. I’m affirming of all sexual/gender identities, and leave it to you to (re)define how facets of your identity shape your life! I’m especially interested in clients who have tried therapy but have found the experience stilted, impersonal, judgmental, or just plain awkward.
In my free time I enjoy art history, music production, ironwork, and cycling Western PA’s extensive Rails to Trails network. I accept all major insurances, am open to sliding scale, and - as I am building my caseload - am available within 3 days of contact! Looking forward to hearing from you!
